The parliament of Barbados and the exclusive Broad street, Bridgetown

From the bridge house, we are looking over the small port in the direction of the National Heroes Square where you see the parliament towers of Barbados. Not only here at the parliament but on many places you see the proud blue and yellow colours of the flag of Barbados. The parliament is rather big and looks a bit like a church.

At the start of Broad Street a nice looking shopping street, there is a small park with a marble fountain and obelisk. In this street you find some large department stores and high quality shops. The buildings and galleries are constructed in multiple architectural styles. It is very interesting to see murals side by side with a historical building like the First Citizens. Everything is well maintained and Barbados looks like one of the richest Caribbean islands we have visited.
